Please check how your teeth are aligned. Ask a doctor how he/she aligns
your teeth. The PureSmile Orthodontics explains the treatment options to
patients in detail.
Next step is the examination and analysis. We took several x-ray photos
using two types of machines. We also make your teeth models by taking impressions.
It will take about 60-90 minutes. Please prepare initial cost (call or
email for details). If you decided to take your examination, consultant
fee is free.
We share the treatment goal with patients. Doctors will explain your treatment
plan based on the results of examination, analysis and diagnosis. It is
important for patients to imagine the treatment goal same with doctor.
Start of treatment (Setting of braces)
It is the time to start orthodontic treatment for you. The doctors will
prepare pre-treatment (take approximately 1 month) before your braces are
set in your mouth. If your teeth are needed to extract to make spaces for
teeth aligned, it will take more time.
Points to note during orthodontic treatment
Once the braces are set in your mouth, the patients need to visit the
doctor once a month or two months. It is important to keep good oral hygiene
and to use the appliance as the doctor guide you to finish treatment earlier
and to get good results. We will provide preventive curriculum for your
dental hygiene. Once a three or four month, we will provide you a Professional
Mechanical Tooth Cleaning (PMTC) to remove a biofilm (dental plaque).
End of treatment
It is a time to remove all of the appliances including braces. After the
braces are removed, we polish the enamel surfaces of your teeth.
Retaining appliance (retainer) will be set to prevent the teeth to move
back. There are two types of retainer in which removable retainer and fixed
retainer exists. The FAP (Fluoroappetite, Appetite fluoride) whitening
will also be provided from our dental office.
